The Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is proud to offer internships in a variety of ​fields. Our offices and programs will allow students to gain real-world insights on employment in a diverse ​environment and will provide a valuable experience as they prepare to enter the workforce.

Our Offices

The Office of the Commissioner provides communications for the agency, ensures a diverse and inclusive ​working environment for it’s employees, and houses the Internal Audit Division for DAS. Learn more here.

Procurement Services handles bid and contract opportunities for anyone seeking to do business with the State ​of Connecticut. Learn more here.

Collection Services helps state and other agencies collect monies, with a focus on billing, recovery, delinquent ​accounts, the Connecticut State Tax Intercept Program, and central accounting (CAU). Learn more here.

The Business Office helps agencies with financial and fiscal services, ranging from managing physical assets, to ​providing grant management services, to purchasing office equipment and supplies. Learn more here.

Fleet Operations supplies over 3,600 vehicles to over 90 state agencies and departments across the state of ​Connecticut. Learn more here.

Human Resources handles hiring, job classifications, compensation plans, employee benefits, learning and ​development, workers’ compensation, and additional areas of interest. Learn more here.

Construction Services works on new construction of state buildings, and regulatory compliance, inspections, ​and fire safety as it relates to state properties. Learn more here.

Facilities Management administers the operations, maintenance and security of some state-owned buildings. ​Learn more here.

The Bureau of Information and Technology Solutions (BITS) provides IT, application, data, hosting, and network ​services to state agencies. Learn more here.

Our offices are located at 450 Columbus Boulevard ​in downtown Hartford. Positioned conveniently near ​Dunkin’ Park, Constitution Plaza, the Connecticut ​Convention Center, UConn Hartford, the CT Science ​Museum, and numerous great places to eat, our ​building will keep you connected with co-workers ​and the general public we serve.


The office space is located on the top floors of the ​north tower at 450 Columbus Boulevard, providing ​the latest technology to help get our work done ​efficiently and outstanding views of the ​Connecticut River and the Hartford skyline.

Internship Highlights: We are seeking a summer ​intern to join our Equal Employment Opportunity ​Unit. This position is ideal for a rising junior or ​senior pursuing their Bachelor’s degree in Human ​Resources, Business Administration, or a related ​degree.


Location and Schedule: 20 hours a week, with one ​required weekly on-site day at 450 Columbus Blvd. ​in Hartford.

Construction Services

Internship Highlights: DAS Construction Services ​is looking for a current college student to join us ​for the 2024 Fall Semester. We are seeking a ​current student seeking their degree in ​Construction Management, Civil Engineering, ​Electrical Engineering, or a related field.


Location and Schedule: 16 hours a week at our ​office in Hartford. Some remote work may be ​offered to accommodate your class schedule.

Internship Highlights: DAS’s Talent Solutions Unit ​is seeking a year-long intern to learn about and ​support their recruitment efforts. This roll will focus ​on creating innovative social media content. All ​majors are encouraged to apply!
